What started as a one-woman creative studio is now growing to a team of two.

Earth & Sugar will continue to be led creatively by founder Athalie, who remains behind the designs and client communication, while Shani joins the team as our dedicated embroiderer, helping us better serve our South African clients with even more care and creativity.

"Hi, I’m Athalie — founder and creative behind Earth & Sugar. Embroidery has been a part of my life for over 6 years, and what started as a personal passion slowly grew into a business built with intention, beauty, and heart. I recently moved to the Netherlands, but Earth & Sugar continues to grow and create for our South African clients through our expanding team back home. While I continue leading the creative vision and design side of the brand, it means so much to still stay connected to the community and clients who have supported Earth & Sugar from the very beginning. I feel incredibly grateful to build a brand that reflects both my passion and purpose."

Hi, I’m Shani -- new team member and embroidery lead taking over product creation in South Africa. From early on, I knew I wanted to build a career focused on creativity rather thana traditional tertiary education. At only 20 years old I've moved around a lot through countries, cities, schools and embroidery became a creative outlet that grounded me and allowed me to bring meaningful ideas to life. I'm incredibly grateful for the Lord's guidance and the support of my family. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways and that is why I choose to use my creativity and business for His glory.

I’m more passionate than ever about what I do. One of the things I love most about embroidery is that creativity has no limits — with just a few threads, ideas and visions can be brought to life in the most beautiful way

Specialising in custom embroidery, the sky is the limit to what we can create. If you're wanting something unique, your first port of call is to get in contact via the Custom Order Form where you can outline your ideas and inspiration, then we can chat about how we can bring your design to life.

We stock a selection of products namely; hoodies, crewneck sweaters,
t-shirts, denim style caps, tote-bags.

We can add your custom embroidery to any of our items or chat to us about stitching your favourite item.

bridal

From bespoke veils and embroidery for a wedding dress, to wedding day accessories including a bow, handkerchief, ring bearer hoop, garter, bridal party gifting and wedding favours. If you can think it, we can probably make it.
